Stephens Reading Lesson Overview #1

There are many student teachers in my classroom, so my CT wanted my lesson to be taught to the whole class, and to be a specific lesson that she was going to be teaching anyway. For this reason, my lesson will be a word study in which the students will learn the meanings of different affixes and be able to use them with a base word to come up with the meanings of new words. I noticed one student, O, particularly struggling in the area of spelling and vocabulary. I have seen many of her corrected spelling tests with red marks all over, so I will focus on giving her extra assistance during this lesson.
